As a traditionally run family business, the Broich Catering & Locations has put a great emphasis on sustainability for many years. “We are, among others, participants in the project “Sustainable Bonn” and are also heavily involved in having sustainable management of our company. We want to protect the environment and exploit potential savings. Every employee can make an active contribution to sustainability”, said Georg W. Broich. The customized sustainability concepts at Broich Catering & Locations include local produce, which - if possible - is grown purely biological, as well as goods and meat from appropriate animal husbandry. The Düsseldorf caterer has already won several awards for its continuous work and transparent action. As part of the EVVC’s annual meeting Burkhard Schmitz, Managing Partner at Broich & Catering Locations received the Green Certification from Dr. Peter Zimmer. “The Green Globe certificate is another incentive to fulfil our responsibilities”, said Burkhard Schmitz, after receiving the certification. Since 2008, Broich Catering & Locations are also BIO certified.
The topic of sustainability has a lot to do with consciousness. “We do at lot at the Broich Academy to strengthen the awareness of these issues. Sustainability can be learned and we see it as our responsibility to our employees to raise awareness here”, said Georg W. Broich. The control of energy efficiency is also a key factor of sustainability management at Broich Catering & Venues. “We are very pleased that Georg W. Broich is the first caterer worldwide to receive the certification”, said Dr. Peter Zimmer of Green Globe about the certification of Broich Catering & Locations.
