European Association of Event Centres (EVVC)

The EVVC represents about 700 event centres of all kinds and sizes in Germany and Europe.
Event organisers and supply companies supplement the association’s broad range, thus making the EVVC the most versatile communications network within the sector.

Austria Center Vienna is doing its utmost for Company Events

With around 175 events, of which about 30 were international conventions, the Austria Center Vienna ACV successfully defied the crisis last year. Vienna’s and Austria's largest convention center is also optimistic for 2010. In addition to the convention business the European top player is also focusing on “corporate business” and thus promoting company events. “Many companies have already recognized the importance of events for customers and employees, especially in these economically difficult times. We are currently detecting an increased demand for corporate events, and are best equipped,” said Thomas Rupperti, CEO of the Austria Center Vienna.

The course was duly set with the complete redevelopment of the house in the city on the Danube: Fully adaptable rooms, offices, suites and lounges offer the perfect setting for meetings, evening events and product presentations.

Thus, the ACV offers a number of unique facilities that distinguish the convention center in the international comparison: Apart from the convention hall, guests can expect around 5400m ² of additional office space, five representative suites and eight newly remodeled and fully adaptable lounges with a total area of 1900m ² after the renovations. Smaller groups are also in good hands, as rooms of various sizes are available and the space requirements can be adjusted accordingly. The centerpiece is the Crystal Lounge, a modern catering area with a bar that provides for all needs.

The ACV is also become increasingly popular as a venue for concerts and cultural events – this is not only due to the premises, the technology and the optimal availability of the U1 but the excellent acoustics also play a major role.
