The “Sinfonium”, a puristic and elegant room with great sonority was designed by the Dortmund star architect Prof. Eckhard Gerber, who also designed and built the Stadthalle Hagen more than 30 years ago.
 
The new space, built with a budget of 575,000 €, has a great sonority and enormous room volume – due to the main user being the Philharmonic Orchestra of Hagen, which will use it as a rehearsal hall for about 120 days, while the concerts take place in the Stadthalle.

During the rest of the time the Sinfonium is ideal as a multifunctional hall for seminars, trade shows, conventions, events and cabaret. CEO Elmar Josten is particularly proud of this fact, as it is now possible to hold events in the hall at the same time.
