Since 1994, Gaißmayer determined the fortunes of the former LUBEGE Ludwigshafen-based operating company mbH. At the end of the month he will be retiring after a 46 year career.
Ulrich Gaißmeyer drew lessons from the changes in the event market and the regional competitive situation during the 90s and adapted the ways of marketing the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle and the Pfalzbau. He placed his primary focus on organizing own events and on strengthening the sports and exhibition sector of the houses.
Ulrich Gaißmeyer gladly accepted the challenge of reconstructing the Pfalzbau and actively promoted the strengthening of the House in the conference and convention sector. He relied on the “triad” consisting of theatre, culture and convention, which distinguished the Pfalzbau from most competing houses in the region and opened up entirely new event opportunities. The cooperation with the operating company of the Mannheim rose garden m:con to market the house in the conference and convention sector is probably unique in the German event management sector. This extraordinary cooperation also bears Ulrich Gaißmayers signature.
