The EVVC represents about 700 event centres of all kinds and sizes in Germany and Europe.
Event organisers and supply companies supplement the association’s broad range, thus making the EVVC the most versatile communications network within the sector.

Cologne and Düsseldorf launch marketing cooperative

“Meetropolis” is the powerful name, which the two German cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf will now be using internationally to advertise their attractive meeting and convention locations. The new marketing cooperation was initiated by the Cologne Convention Bureau and the convention bureau Düsseldorf. Together, the two institutions will in future use the “Meetropolis” brand for trade shows, advertising campaigns and active public relations.

The congress and conference sector has in recent years continually developed, both in Cologne and in Düsseldorf. To promote this growth market, both cities opened a convention bureau in 2008. Since then, the two institutions have acted as a first point of contact in their respective city for all organizers, in particular for international conventions, and develop joint marketing strategies for the Cologne and Düsseldorf Congress market.

With the new “Meetropolis” marketing agreement Cologne and Düsseldorf want to market their com-bined advantages on an even broader basis, while continuing to point their individual strengths.
