Great success for the Wormser Tagungszentrum: On 8th October, the conference centre in Worms won first prize in the category "meeting and convention venues" at the Location Award 2011. A total of 170 venues applied to the locationportale GmbH in eight different categories. During a gala event on 8th October in the axica Berlin, the winners were awarded by a jury of experts.
An expert jury panel voted for the best applicants in eight categories from a total of 170 locations from all over Germany. The winners were determined based on fixed criteria. These included, among others, the flexible usability and the infrastructural connectivity as well as parking possibilities and delivery conditions on site. The nominees had to submit a presentation and further information and documents in advance. After an online vote in which more than 16,000 votes were cast, there was a pre-selection. Then, the three best locations in each category were determined.
