For the first time in its history it was possible to welcome over one million visitors at the Hallenstadion Zurich during a year that featured 136 events and a total of 145. A total of 1,050,000 people have attended the various events (+12.7% compared to last year). With this new record a important hurdle was taken. On average, each inhabitant of the Greater Zurich area or almost every 7th resident of Switzerland has attended the indoor stadium once during 2009.

With these occupancy and visitor statistics the indoor stadium has become one of the leading European arenas and is, if you consider visitors per capita, even the prime location in Europe. With its successful business model the AG Hallenstadion is able to meet the major challenges of the live entertainment and arena market and was able to achieve improved occupancy levels for the fourth consecutive time since the opening. In addition, these record figures show the great attractiveness of Switzerland and the Greater Zurich area for international top events.
