Europcar, Europe's largest car rental, now sends its mail the green way. As a new partner of GOGREEN, an initiative of Deutsche Post for global climate protection, Europcar now sends all mail in a CO2-neutral way.
When sending GOGREEN letters the CO2 emissions incurred by the transport are recorded by means of a certified procedure and then compensated by various environmental projects.
By participating in the climate protection project GOGREEN, Europcar reinforces the promise of sustainability to its customers and makes it clear that Europcar takes global climate protection very seriously. Therefore, the company has committed itself to a certified environmental charter to optimize the environmental performance of its vehicle fleet. Last year, Europcar signed a partnership with Renault Nissan to promote electric mobility and recently ordered the first 500 available electric models for its fleet of rental cars. In addition, since early 2010, eco-friendly car models have been marked as “eco-friendly” on the Europcar website.
