In cooperation with the EVVC the Bayreuth based energy service provider ISPEX AG has carried out an energy benchmarking together with the University of Bayreuth and the ife - Institute for energy efficiency. The aim is to provide the participants with a transparent picture of the energy situation in their own events centres as well as in the entire industry.

Selected facts of the energy benchmarking
- In comparison, users of energy management systems consume only half as much energy
- Public operators consume twice as much energy as private operators
- Energy consultation is only sought if technical problems become apparent
- Companies in Western Germany is energy more efficiently
- Green electricity users also consume less energy
