During last year’s ispexEnergiebenchmarking the influence of energy management systems on energy consumption became clearly apparent. According to the survey, event centres that already use energy management systems consume, on average, only about half as much energy as their competitors. However, such systems have only been installed in around a quarter of the participants’ venues.

For this reason, ISPEX is offering a special energy management workshop for the members of the EVVC, which will address the most important questions.
Besides the introduction of energy management systems further topics are the latest developments for event venues, the lighting and the general funding environment in Germany at the EnEV 2009 and the European Environmental Management System EMAS.
