Event organisers and supply companies supplement the association’s broad range, thus making the EVVC the most versatile communications network within the sector.

Meyer Sound expands low-voltage product range with three new speakers

Meyer Sound’s line of self-powered low voltage audio products has now been expanded with three new 48-volt DC power speakers that have the same exemplary features as their AC counterparts. These systems pave the way for a wide range of low voltage installations that offer exceptional audio clarity, powerful bass and high SPL.
“Our low voltage systems are the answer to installations where it may not be possible to route AC-power all the way to the speakers, but where the audio quality and performance of Meyer Sound products is still necessary”, says Luke Jenks, product manager for loudspeaker products at Meyer Sound. “These new products offer a high level of bandwidth and speech intelligibility and set the bar for unobtrusive, easy to install systems in environments such as museums, restaurants, bars and conference centres somewhat higher”.

Meyer Sounds self-powered low voltage systems include built-in amplifiers and signal processing units. In contrast to their AC counterparts the UPM-1XP, UPJunior-XP and the UMS-1XP obtain DC power from power packs that are designed for rack mounting. The speakers are supplied by a time-and cost-saving integrated 5-pin cable with 48 volt low voltage and a symmetric audio signal. The amplifier circuits were specifically designed to store energy for peak demands and also allow for the flexibility of long cable lengths without having to do without the benefits of self-powered systems. For a comprehensive monitoring of all important loudspeaker and amplifier parameters as well as an individual speaker muting the RMS remote monitoring system is also available.
