stb marketplace Essen: heart-throbbing trade fair

On 5th May the Ruhrmetropole Essen became a trade show metropolis. 1,263 visitors experienced new concepts with a variety of emotions at the stb marketplace, trade fair for the German event industry. 222 exhibitors displayed the new priorities of event planning and implementation at the stb marketplace in the Messe Essen.

Nail biting fair auction - proceeds go to FLY & HELP
The mood was already heated up before the actual day with a 7-day auction on eBay. A work of art was being auctioned - a hand-painted, life-size horse, sponsored by Knieling Universal Events, a provider of large scale decorations. Going live to Ebay's auction during the final minutes created even more suspense among visitors and exhibitors. Online art lovers against bidders on site – and everyone bidding against the clock. The auction was won by an online bidder. He purchased the art-work for € 1,310. All proceeds go to the foundation FLY & HELP. It is dedicated to education worldwide - by building kindergartens and schools in needy regions. During this auction the MICE AG again success-fully tested a new event concept: the integration of charity auctions and events and the combination of Web 2.0 and real-life exhibition.
