Start of construction in Künzelsau delayed
The cultural and congress centre in Künzelsau, planned by the Würth group, will be built later than scheduled. Originally, the beginning of construction works on the 55 million Euro project were scheduled for the first half of 2013. Due to cyclical variations, this was now delayed until the second half of the year, according to media reports. Plans include an event hall for up to 2,500 visitors, a chamber music hall for up to 500 visitors, and an open air area with room for up to 18,000 visitors.

Naming sponsor of Bamberg Arena cancels contract
As the media report, the contract for naming sponsorship of the Barmberg Arena between the city of Bamberg and the Franken 1st Bamberg Basketballgesellschaft with the Stechert Stahlrohrmöbel GmbH will run out by the end of September 2013. The sponsor was not willing to renew the contract.

Landesmesse Stuttgart plans extension
Five years after its opening, the Landesmesse Stuttgart plans to build a new hall for 65 million Euros. By 2016, another 17,000 square metres of hall space are planned to be built, which will see the total area of the Messe grow to 122,000 square metres, according to media reports.

Esprit cancels naming rights for Düsseldorf Arena
As the media report, the city of Dusseldorf is now the lone owner of the arena, after the co-owner Walter Bau AG went into administration. The income from naming rights sponsorship was ever more important.

Construction in Burladingen to commence on May 1st
The civic centre Burladingen will be renovated for 2.8 million Euros until early 2015, according to media reports. Renovations will start with the façade and the extension.

In Denklingen (BY), the multi-purpose hall is planned to be redeveloped and extended for 2.7 million Euros.

Kirchhain (HE) will redevelop its civic centre for 1.4 million Euros.

In Dußlingen (BW), the possible new construction of a twin hall for sports and culture in the location of the current multi-purpose hall is being discussed. Investment volume: 8 million Euros.

The civic centre in Waldshut (BW) will have to be renovated for safety reasons for several million Euros.
