The Hanover Congress Centrum has once again been able to increase its results during the annual Green Globe recertification process compared to the previous year. The now available recertification result show a percentage of 97% compared to the 94% of the previous year.
“Now we are barely able to improve, as 97% already show that nearly all our processes have already been optimized under the criteria of the Green Globe Certification.
Of course we will not decrease our efforts of further developing and improving our processes and relevant issues and taking future developments into account. The HCC is convinced of the importance and effectiveness of a sustainable operational and offers structure in the event and convention business. Special thanks go to the team of the HCC, which has surpassed the normal level in order to achieve this goal and is solely responsible for the excellent figure of 97%”, said HCC Director Joachim König.
An important component, of attaining the percentage increase is explained by the decision of the HCC, to no longer obtain electricity from a coal power plant, but from the gas and steam turbines power plant Linden which offers fuel efficiency of over 80%. The high efficiency means the conservation of natural resources and reduced CO ²-emissions.
