The Diversity Charter is an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. It was launched in December 2006 by four companies and is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Minister of State Annette Widmann-Mauz.
The aim of the initiative is to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work in Germany. Organizations should create a work environment that is free from prejudice. All employees should receive appreciation - regardless of gender, gender identity, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.
The EVVC e.V. has committed itself to this initiative since 2019. With its signature, the association reaffirmed its position on diversity, after the EVVC symposium in September 2018 had already taken place under the theme Diversity.
