Great diversity demands for clear-cut structures
Due to the heterogeneity and, because of this, the often entirely different spheres of interest of the member-companies, EVVC has created a classification system where members are sub-divided into smaller Work Groups (WG’s). Decisive factor for the structuring is the maximum capacity in the largest rentable room when using a row-seating setup:
| 1 | WG I up to max. 1.200 seats
| 2 | WG II up to max. 4.000 seats
3 | WG III more than 4.000 seats
The WG IV (technical equipment) moreover conjuncts all event-technicians of the members and is entirely dedicated to dealing with subject matter relevant to the technical staff. Hereby the size of the centres which are represented by the event-technicians doesn’t matter.
Subject-specific talks on current topics will be conducted at the request of our members. All members have the opportunity to be involved in EVVC events and may suggest relevant topics and help to shape them.
Given the importance of catering for event centers, there is a specially designated “Department of Gastronomy”. The department will be continuously staffed and will participate actively in the association
Associate members can only be natural persons who wish to deal mainly with the event industry and / or wish to support the association in achieving its objectives and tasks, but do not own, represent, belong to or are employed by a member’s house / facility or sponsoring member or organization. They may not vote or stand for election. Membership must be recommended by at least one full member.
